Dear Entrepreneurs far and wide,

All good things must come to an end, and here we are – at the almost final post for #TheMark2016. The event was a stupendous success, and we were wholly entertained throughout the day with the innovative ideas that each team had to offer (not to forget those elevator pitches!). At this juncture, I would like to present one final team that was pivotal in cementing the success of this event.

They’re the other ‘behind-the-scenes’ crew members who supported the production of all the marketing material for the final shebang. And since they were our back-alley heroes, its time the spotlight turns towards them. Pictured below is the Marketing Team headed by Elisabetta Lerardi.

UntitledI had the pleasure of leading the Marketing Team. Alejandro, Pantea, Zdravko and Khyati have played a key role in the achievements of The Mark goals and set the lead for the editions to come. The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer extremely well so that the product or service fits him and sells itself. They have done it perfectly with dedication and right intuition. The tool they have created is going to be essential for  future Mark teams to build and work towards this concept.

The Mark is an opportunity for everyone who has a great business idea to make it real. So start thinking about yours now and #LEAVEYOURMARK!

Thank you everyone for the great work and great time!

It’s funny I mentioned spotlight, because as it turns out – one of the members did have his time on stage on the 6th of April! For those of you who have diligently followed the Mark (because you participated, or supported one of the participating teams, or probably you were drawn to a fantastic blog someone mentioned in passing…. Okay, MAYBE not the last one 😀) – Alejandro Rivera earned the unique opportunity of beholding #TheMark as an organizer and as a participant. His team ‘Memory Catchers’ went on to win the Audience Choice Award and was placed 3rd overall.

When asked to describe this entire experience in a nutshell, here’s what he had to say –

“Based on the fact that this was an event completely planned by students, I have to say that I’ve had a great time being a part of it. To top it off, being a witness to the results of your own work …it’s invaluable.”

But that’s not all; the young entrepreneur was all praises for his teacher, Marjorie Bertschy, who has also played a key role in assisting the proceedings of #TheMark –

“She’s always going forward, no matter what. She’s a clear example of hard work and discipline – truly a role model. She empowered me to overcome my difficulty in juggling my responsibilities by giving me timely organizational advice. It was immensely helpful.”

The competition was truly a glorious event that was followed by a very ‘true-to-Monaco’ Cocktail Party, with scrumptious finger food accompanying the sound of clinking glasses and wonderful conversation in every corner. The day could not have ended on a better note.

Now, I did say almost final post. So until the next post – Don’t forget to continue to #LeaveYourMark.

Yours Truly,

Eve Tory-Mamba
